( BW)(NY-PASSLOGIX) Passlogix Responds to Customer and Partner Demand with European Expansion; Demand for v-GO Sign on Platform Drives Opening of Office in the United Kingdom

Business Editors/Technology Editors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2005--Passlogix(R) Inc., the leading provider of enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) solutions, today announced an expansion of its regional sales operations throughout Europe to tap the European, Middle Eastern and African markets for authentication and identity management solutions. Due to increased demand for Passlogix products in these regions, Passlogix has appointed John Handelaar as Director of EMEA Operations, based in the United Kingdom

Mr. Handelaar brings 29 years of information technology and sales experience to his new role with Passlogix.

Most recently, he is credited with leading a successful team for Sun Microsystems/Waveset in Europe that exceeded its sales targets by 50 percent. "Our expansion is in direct response to our growing base of global customers and international partners, combined with a substantial increase in demand for our v-GO Sign-on Platform," said Marc Boroditsky, president and CEO of Passlogix.

"I am confident that John's experience in the identity management arena, combined with his regional expertise across EMEA, will help us capture the opportunity we see and continue to fuel Passlogix's global expansion." The Company's move into EMEA is strategic and timely since Europe is the second largest market for single sign-on, authentication and identity management behind the United States.

Industry analysts at Gartner Inc. predict that identity and access management in Europe will grow to $512.7 million in 2006, and by 2008, will grow at an even greater rate to $705 million

Additionally, Fran Howarth from Bloor Research explains, "In EMEA, the authentication and identity management picture is complicated by a large number of firms that were recently formed through mergers and acquisitions, resulting in multiple application interfaces within complex networks.

Consequently, users are left with multiple sets of credentials to remember.

However by using ESSO solutions, these diverse organizations can drastically reduce support costs and raise productivity of workers by simplifying the sign-on process." Passlogix is recognized in the industry for reversing the difficult legacy of ESSO by delivering a solution that is easily implemented in enterprises of all sizes and can support sign-on to any type Windows, mainframe or Web application without modification or significant implementation cost

.

Over the past year, the Company has expanded its product offering to include four new components to its v-GO Sign-on Platform, including v-GO SSPR (Self Service Password Reset), v-GO AM (Authentication Manager), v-GO SM (Session Manager) and v-GO PM (Provisioning Manager)

Working with channel partners, Passlogix has already established customers in all regions of the world, including Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Africa.

Many of Passlogix's international customers are in oil and gas, pharmaceutical and the financial services industries.

One example is Irish Life and Permanent, a leading provider of personal financial services in the Irish market

Aaron Slater, Security Specialist of Irish Life and Permanent said, "We are pleased that Passlogix now has a local team in Europe to work directly with us and ensure our successful deployment of their enterprise sign-on solution." According to Handelaar, European operations will work closely with Passlogix's major global ISV partners and regional resellers and integrators to target enterprise customers with Passlogix's comprehensive suite of sign-on technology.

All of Passlogix products are being localized for French, German, Portuguese and Spanish speaking markets. "The opportunities for our v-GO Platform solutions in Europe are very promising," said John Handelaar, director of EMEA Operations for Passlogix.

"Together with our technology partners, Passlogix is in a position to dominate the worldwide market for secure enterprise sign-on and strong authentication." "There is a growing demand for network identity and single sign-on provisioning solutions in Ireland and across Europe," said Ciaran Doherty, sales director of Horizon Open Systems, a Passlogix Channel Partner in Dublin, Ireland.

"We look forward to working with Passlogix and our other partners to deliver quick time-to-value solutions to our customers."
